Dear Mr Hendersin
I am sorry to cause all
of you so much trouble. I am
not hurt so bad as it looks
although I have to be laid up about
a month. Here in the Hospital we
boys (10 of us) drive the ward men
crazy by pulling stunts on them.
For instance, if he could scratch the
bottom of my feet cause it itches. He
couldn’t since it is in a cast.
Hows [sic] Mrs & the rest of the
clan. Tell them not to worry and
that I’ll be with the rest
in a jiffy – I hope.
