Headquarters Company
Isaac Akinaka was born in Honolulu in 1911 and enlisted in the Hawaii National Guard, 298th Infantry, in December 1940. He was transferred to the newly formed Hawaiian Provisional Battalion, later renamed the 100th Infantry Battalion (Separate).
